About: 88th Street is a Stoneledge Farm CSA (www.stoneledgefarmny.org) which also receives our products every other week during the CSA season.  

To pick up at 88th St, you need to be a member of the CSA.  They request that each member volunteer for 3 hours during the season.  

During the winter months Lewis Waite delivers orders to the home of a member who volunteers to coordinate distribution.

About: Astoria CSA is a mutually beneficial partnership between Golden Earthworm Farm, a local, certified organic farm and residents of the Astoria neighborhood who desire fresh, healthy produce and fruit.  

During the summer, Lewis Waite delivers bi-weekly to the Astoria Community Center.  Deliveries in the winter are made once per month to the home of a member who volunteers to coordinate distribution.

Astoria Hellgate

About: Lewis Waite delivers to Hellgate CSA every two weeks during the CSA season, and once a month in the winter.

During the CSA season (June-December), Hellgate CSA members get their vegetables from Green Thumb Farm on Long Island and their fruit from Hepworth Farms upstate.

The Hellgate CSA was founded in 2005 by AmeriCorps volunteer Cara Fraver in conjunction with Just Food. Originally it was called the Ravenswood CSA and was based in the Senior Center at the Ravenswood Houses on 35th Avenue.  It is now is based at 27-20 Ditmars Boulevard, which is at the corner of Ditmars and 28th Street.

Carnegie Hill

About: Carnegie Hill is the first Stoneledge Farm CSA and one of the oldest in New York City.
Carnegie Hill CSA members pick up Stoneledge Farm’s beautiful organic produce, fruit, mushrooms, honey, maple syrup and fair trade coffee at The Church of the Heavenly Rest at Fifth Avenue at East 90th Street.
Lewis Waite Farm delivers to our site twice a month, from June to November, and once a month at members’ homes during the winter. This gives us the opportunity to order grass fed meats, poultry, organic eggs, cheese, bread and other products.
We maintain our own website, where our members can access the latest news, ask questions and read recipes designed to utilize the current week’s vegetables.
We are proud of our diverse membership, the delightful social atmosphere at our site (family members are always welcome) and our members’ willingness to volunteer.
Although we require each member to perform one two-hour shift each season, many serve multiple shifts.

About:

The vision of the Forest Hills CSA is to support local food production and consumption and make it accessible to all people. By building both consumer/farmer relationships and community awareness of the benefits and responsibilities of choosing fresh, seasonal, organic food, we are increasing our connection to the earth and to each other.
Forest Hills CSA started in 2002, with the help of the Queens Community House.  They were later invited to their current home at the Church-in-the-Gardens  by the World Service Committee of the Church-in-the-Gardens.
Lewis Waite Farm CSA Extras delivers bi-weekly in the summer and once a month througout the winter to the Church in the Gardens. Forest Hills CSA also offer a vegetable and fruit shares.

About: Pick-up at the farm in Jamesport.  Golen Earthworm partners with Lewis Waite Farm CSA Extras to bring a wide variety of organic and all natural products to their customers on Long Island.  You choose what you want to order, how much you order, and how often you order.  Deliveries are available for pick-up every two weeks throughout the summer. They also offer fruits and vegetables in their CSA.  This program is open to the public - no need to be a member of their CSA, but you DO need to register with Golden Earthworm. About: Grand Street CSA is a partnership between residents of Grand Street and other neighboring blocks on Manhattan's lower east side, and Norwich Meadows Farm in Norwich, NY and Lebanon, NJ. They  are member-run and not-for-profit, organized in 2008 solely for the purpose of bringing fresh produce to their community. About: The Prospect Heights CSA is a community collaboration that connects a group of Brooklynites with Windflower Farm, a small organic farm located in upstate New York for produce.  They were founded in 2006 with support from Just Food and today serve nearly 150 households in Prospect Heights, including the families of students at P.S. 9. Lewis Waite Farm CSA Extras delivers bi-weekly during the summer months to PS-9, and once a month throughout winter to a member's home. 
 They are run by a core group made up of CSA members who volunteer their time to work with the farmers, recruit members, run the distribution site, maintain records and accounting, manage member work shifts, write the newsletter, and perform community outreach.

About: The Riverdale CSA was established in 1996 in collaboration with Riverdale Neighborhood House.  Lewis Waite Farm delivers bi-weekly throughout the summer and once a month during the winter. The Riverdale also partners with Hawthorne Valley Farm for their produce.
 
By joining the Riverdale CSA, you become part of a unique long-term partnership that connects their members & their urban community to ecologically produced food, regional family farmers, & each other. Their community events, such as an annual spring gathering, offer you opportunities to learn more about our CSA & these connections. The CSA reaches further into the community through a project that it created & is committed to sustaining in partnership with the Riverdale Neighborhood House Teen Program. The program introduces local young people to nutritious fresh produce, pro- vides cooking instruction, and, when possible, includes a visit to the farm. In addition, every week the CSA contributes surplus produce to a local soup kitchen and food pantry.

West Harlem

The West Harlem Community Supported Agriculture, which is a mixed income CSA, provides an affordable alternative to standard grocery shopping. They work to provide healthier food choices for West Harlem residents, where options are limited and many budgets are constrained.
The West Harlem CSA differs from others in that their central aim is to foster a healthy and affordable food community where there aren’t many options available. By ensuring the availability of the freshest produce in West Harlem for people of all income levels, they are working to increase food security in the community, while providing universal access to healthy food. 
The West Harlem CSA  is organized in partnership with the New York City Coalition Against Hunger to bring fresh, local, affordable produce to all West Harlem residents, regardless of economic status..

About: Lewis Watie delivers to Yorkville CSA bi-weekly throughout the summer months and monthly during the winter. Yorkville CSA partners with Stoneledge Farm for their produce shares. 
At the Yorkville site volunteering is not mandatory but it is appreciated.  All the folks at the site are member/volunteers without whom the group would not exist.  Many members find volunteering to be the piece that really makes the CSA come together.  It’s a great way to meet people in the neighborhood.  They have a core group of regular volunteers to open and close the site so don’t worry about being left alone to do something you’ve never done before.
